How We Serve
At Zion Christian Fellowship, ministry isn't just something we do — it's who we are. From our youngest learners in Sunday School to our cherished seniors receiving hospital visits, every program flows from the love of Christ and a desire to bless our community.
Sunday Worship Services
Every Sunday at 10:30 AM, our congregation gathers for heartfelt praise, prayer, and expository preaching from God's Word. Our worship services are the heartbeat of our fellowship — a time to encounter God together and be strengthened for the week ahead.
Children's Sunday School
Ages 3–11 are invited to join us at 9:15 AM each Sunday for engaging Bible lessons, creative crafts, coloring activities, and age-appropriate teaching. Our trained volunteers create a safe, joyful environment where children discover the love of Jesus.
Hospital Visitation Ministry
Volunteers from our fellowship visit the Ponoka auxiliary hospital one to two times each month, playing piano, singing hymns, and offering prayerful companionship. This ministry brings comfort, joy, and spiritual encouragement to patients and staff alike.
Seniors' Bible Study
A dedicated member of our congregation leads a weekly Bible study at a seniors' residence in Ponoka. This ministry provides spiritual nourishment, meaningful conversation, and genuine fellowship to our community's beloved elderly residents.
Greeting Card Outreach
Zion sends greeting cards to both members and non-members of our fellowship, reaching out with encouragement, care, and a personal touch. Whether celebrating a milestone or offering comfort during difficult times, this ministry extends God's love in a tangible way.
Youth & Family Programs
We believe the family is the foundation of a strong community. Through special events, family worship nights, and mentoring initiatives, we equip parents and young people to grow in their faith and build lasting, Christ-centred relationships.
Hearts for Service
Our ministries are powered by the faithful service of volunteers who give their time, talents, and love to bless others. From the family who drives to the hospital each month to play hymns, to the volunteers who prepare Sunday School crafts each week — these acts of service are the living expression of our faith.
